Rental Requirements

zocoloco | studios prides itself in offering high-quality equipment rental – the same equipment we use for our live events! Because of this, we require the following items to process your rental order. If you have any questions please feel free to call us (505) 715-5514.

Rental Requirements:

The applicant must completely fill out and sign the rental application, credit card authorization, if applicable your State of New Mexico Tax Exemption Certificate along with the rental agreement.

A security deposit is required for all rentals for the full replacement value. Checks are NOT accepted for security deposits. Credit cards are acceptable when the total replacement value is under $15,000. Otherwise we require a Certificate of Insurance  that lists Zocoloco Studios, Inc. as loss payee and additional insured) and Trade References. zocoloco | studios requires that a rental agreement be signed by each customer/applicant. This includes both the applicant and the credit card holder if they are different. We also require a valid, current driver’s license.

New Mexico state sales tax must be paid on all merchandise delivered in the State of New Mexico.

We accept cash, wire transfer, Visa, Mastercard, and checks (with signor’s New Mexico Driver’s License), and PayPal.

Insurance Requirements:

Customer needs to be listed as Insured. Account must be opened under the same company name as shown on the Insurance Certificate. zocoloco | studios will not accept Third Party Insurance.

Zocoloco Studios, Inc. be listed as Loss Payee regarding property coverage, Additional Insured regarding liability coverage, and Certificate Holder.

Insurance coverage must be for at least full replacement value of the rental equipment.

Insurance certificate should list type of insurance as ‘miscellaneous audio/video equipment rented/leased’.

Policy number, effective date and expiration date must be listed on the insurance certificate.

Reservation Requirements:

zocoloco | studios requires a 50% deposit to guarantee a reservation, with the balance due the day of rental pickup. If the equipment is being shipped outside of Albuquerque, a 100% deposit is required before shipping. You are responsible for all shipping costs, including fully insured send and return shipments.

The deposit is non-refundable if cancelled less than 48 hours before the rental pick-up date.

zocoloco | studios charges a:
- 10% surcharge if the equipment is booked less than 14 days in advance
- 20% surcharge if booked less than 7 days in advance
- 35% surcharge if booked less than 3 days in advance

General Requirements:

Credit card forms must be filled out and returned along with appropriate identification.

Security deposits will be released only after inspection of returned equipment for damage or loss. Please note that many banks take several days to return the funds to your account.

Proper identification is required for equipment pick-up or shipping.

Equipment must NOT be re-rented, taken in and aircraft, watercraft, near fire, in natural disasters, or out of the country without the express written consent of zocoloco | studios.

Full payment for order is required prior to receipt of equipment.

Be sure to include:
- Rental Application / Contact Information signed by an officer of the company
- Rental Agreement signed by credit card holder
- Signed Credit Card Authorization form
- copies of the credit card {front and back}
- proper identification (Driver’s License)
- Sales Tax exemption certificate where applicable
- Insurance Certificate
- Trade References if applicable
