The Project

Web design isn’t just about aesthetics; it wields the power to shape a brand’s message and elicit emotions among its target audience. Its influence goes beyond visual appeal, captivating hearts and minds. More often than not, designers never have time to work on their own websites.

Our challenge? To take the Jean-Luc Picard approach and–make it so!

What We Did

For several years now, zocoloco studios has been a victim of the “Cobbler’s Children Syndrome.” This irony, captured in the phrase “the cobbler’s children have no shoes,” tells the tale of a cobbler who is so busy making shoes for his customers that he has no time to make shoes for his own children.

For eons, our website lingered in technological antiquity, displaying a mere smattering of our work—equally ancient. We, a design studio, neglected our own marketing needs, akin to a cobbler’s children lacking shoes—not just any shoes, mind you, but the crème de la crème. It’s only logical for a design studio to flaunt awe-inspiring promotional pieces and a cutting-edge website—at the very least. After all, aren’t these the cornerstones of our expertise, the advice we relentlessly shower upon our clients?

But that’s just the thing: we’ve been so busy happily serving our clients and prioritizing their needs that we lost sight of our own.

So how did we cure it?
